And the extra long arms are going to help you make tight turns, and the stainless steel construction of the inner arms are going to let them slide in and out. Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Review - 2018 Ford Explorer- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar on a 2018 Ford Explorer. Now, there's five main components when flat towing your Explorer that are gonna be required. Now, the first one is gonna be the base plate, which is gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating a nice structural support for your tow bar to be able to connect from your base plate to the hitch on the RV. Now, going along with that, we have our safety chains, and that's just in case of an accidental disconnect. It's still gonna keep everything attached, and the mounting points are already on the base plate for you. You also have your diode wiring, which is gonna transmit light signals from the RV to the taillights on the towed vehicle. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar on a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. There's five main components when flat towing a vehicle that are gonna be required on your Silverado to get it down the road and the first one is gonna be your base plate that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle creating a mounting point not only for some of your other components but your tow bar. And your tow bar is the connection point between that base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, we have our safety chains and these are going to make sure, in case of a less than likely, but potential, of a disconnect these are gonna keep everything still attached. And you also have a breakaway switch which is part of your braking system which is also a component which brings the vehicle to slow and stop when you apply the brakes on the RV. And the breakaway switch, as if this was to pull in case of a catastrophic disconnect, it's going to apply the brakes on the vehicle bringing it to a slow and stop. more

And the great part about it is it has a high weight capacity. So, for something like a Chevy Silverado, this is a great option. And honestly, anything that weighs less than that is also gonna be great because this is one of the best on the market. Demco Commander Victory Series Tow Bar Review - 2013 Cadillac SRX- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2013 Cadillac SRX, and we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how the Demco Commander 2 interacts with it. The Demco Commander is going to be a great way to flat tow your vehicle behind your motor home. I'd say the best part about this tow bar is going to be that it has these non-binding switches here. So if you're parked on an uneven surface or something like that and you're trying to unhook your vehicle, the older versions of the binding tow bars you have to get out a tool and push a button. You have to pry to push this button to release this arm when it's locked in the outward position, but with these, you just simply pull this lever it'll pop this arm loose and you can take it all apart. more

So some of your older tow bars, once you're in this locked position after towing, it is really hard to get these to separate and draw your arms back, and you really have to make sure that it's on perfectly flat level ground to be able to do that, but that's not the case here because ours is non-binding and you can see that it's locked here, I just simply push this down, and this is gonna allow us to draw that arm back nice and easy, even if you are on unlevel surfaces. more

The Nighthawk is definitely one of the more premier tow bars out there on the market, and for a good reason, there's quite a few things that make this one stand out from some of the others on the market. And the first and I guess more well known feature of the Nighthawk is going to be the LED strip that you have here. And that way, when it's nighttime and you have your running lights on, these will illuminate. Because the headlights aren't on the towed vehicle, sometimes people may not notice that there's a car right there and them they'll merge over. Having these LEDs are a good indicator to let people know that there's something attached, and I can always spot these across the highway at night, because of those lights. more

When it comes to actually picking out a tow bar, it's a really important decision, you know, because it is responsible for a lot of the work that's gonna be going on. You want something that you can not only rely on but also something that is gonna be easy to use. And when it comes to tow bars, the Nighthawk is definitely up there in terms of one of my favorites, premier type tow bar, you really cannot go wrong with. One of the main things about it from my understanding is it pulls the vehicles down the road really well. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the etrailer SD Tow Bar on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now, your base plate is gonna be one of five main components required for flat towing a vehicle. And the base plate creates a structural support that mounts to the frame of the vehicle, allowing you to hook up to your tow bar. And your tow bar is the connection point between the towed vehicle and the RV. Now, there's also gonna be your safety cables, which are gonna attach to that base plate and they're integrated into it and that's also going to attach to the hitch on the RV. more

Now today we have this hooked up to a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, but this is rated at 8,000 pounds. And as we're starting to see larger vehicles get flat towed, this is gonna be a great option, assuming you're staying under that 8,000 pounds. And I truly think that this is a tow bar you can buy once and really never have to replace it. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer" and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow bar on a 2022 Nexus Triumph. Now this is a pretty heavy duty tow bar coming in at a 8,000 pound capacity. So right now we have it hooked up to a Jeep Wrangler which is definitely less than that 8,000. But this is an investment that once you buy this tow bar you can really move up to a larger vehicle in the future if you plan to and still be in that safe weight capacity. Your Nighthawk is gonna be one of the five main components required for flat towing a vehicle. And this creates the attachment point between the RV and the vehicle. more
